How to Be Wise

The lovers of wisdom, philosophers, from every culture and every walk of life, have been pondering this question since the question was invented. Wisdom is a broad notion, but follow these steps to be wise in your abstract logic to aid your decisions.

Ask yourself this question or any other question.

There is no reason to believe that you're asking the right questions or that your answers are correct.

To solve a problem alone your mind is all you will ever have. But fear not, you are truly free, think what you will.

Wise people know that no problem is solved alone.

To use logic as an insight tead the question. Like a book. Like a poem. Like a math problem. Like a picture. Your answer lies within your question. Always there, and nowhere else.

Consider what you know. Consider what others know. Then consider the reason for your beliefs. If there are right and wrong beliefs, you need to find which of your beliefs are right, and live by them. A good argument has infinite valid arguments to support it.

When in doubt, ask for counsel from who you respect.

If you are dealing with conditions rather than assumptions, the less conditions the better (this principle is called Occam's Razr).

Any form of logic or reasoning consists of and only of your assumptions. Your reasoning is only as valid as your beliefs.

If you find a hole in your logic, prepare for anything, ANYTHING AT ALL! As I believe this is normally the case, be flexible in your reasoning.

• If you use logic to make decisions, consider this: - When you have too much doubt in your reasoning, it will be hard to make those decisions.
• Some decisions you will doubt, because your decisions are only as valid as your reasoning, which - at times - you may think is not at all valid. But without decisions, you may not attain the things you want. I cannot advise on how to balance these needs, that is up to you.
